The differential digital thermometers in the DT-
2 range allow the user to use 2 'K'
thermocouple probes simultaneously. The
display can be switched to show probe 'T1' or
'T2' or 'T1-T2'. This facility allows the
thermometer to be used for standard
applications and for HVAC applications with
radiators, condensers & evaporators.


The DT-2 thermometers have an 'easy to read'
digital display with custom indication of 'T1',
'T2', 'Diff', 'Hold', 'Open Circuit' and 'Low
Battery'. Although the units are rugged in
construction an additional protective rubber
boot (DT-2boot) is also available.

There are two DT-2 models:

DT-2H - ?58-50?C to +550?C
resolution 1?C

DT-2L - ?63-49.9?C to +199.9?C
resolution 0.1?C

Each is sold without probes but is compatible
with all K type thermocouple probes. A
selection available from Abacus Instruments
are as follows:

Kpen - ?19penetration probe
Kair - ?19faster response air probe
Kpipe - ?14pipe clamp
Kwire - ?6exposed wire sensor

For convenience a kit 'DT-2kit' (?112) is also
available. This includes the DT-2 thermometer,
2 x Kpipe and 1 x Kpen in a large carrying
case. This is particularly suitable for the
engineer servicing heating, refrigeration, air
conditioning or vehicle AC systems.
