History The products of the company have their origins in export Quality-Assurance requirements, placed on Cape grape farmers, to document 'core' temperatures during the 'Cold Chain'. Their solution was to insert a T-type thermocouple tip into a grape core ( packed inside a box and stacked on a pallet ), with the thermocouple leads protruding. During the 'Pre-cooling' phase, the output from the leads were (manually) measured inside the cold stores.

It soon became obvious to the farmers that remote monitoring would simplify their work and be more accurate. Thus, Termolog cc developed their first wired 'core' - T-Type temperature sensors .

The need to monitor and log inaccessible pallets, and continuous traffic inside larger stores, made wired solutions impractical and so a Two-way radio communication system was developed to uniquely address each sensor.

Subsequent export requirements prescribed the use of the PT100 and Fish Probes for 'firm' perishable produce.

Termolog cc makes rugged, industrial temperature sensors which are water-tight, can withstand over-pressure and all cold store conditions.

The sensors conform to local Perishable Produce Export Control Board ( www.ppecb.com ) requirements and are recommended by them for technical-design and calibration accuracy.
